To provide a dimming type roll screen and an operating device thereof with improved operability.SOLUTION: A dimming type roll screen according to an aspect of the present invention is configured such that a weight bar 7 attached to the lower end of a screen 5, which is composed of a plurality of kinds of fabrics, is made movable in the vertical direction to enable dimming control based on the overlap degree between the plurality of kinds of fabrics, and includes a take-up pipe 4, a spring motor 6 that automatically raises the weight bar 7, and an operating device 10, in which the operating device 10 allows manual dimming and lowering operation, and also has the function of automatically raising the weight bar 7. Also, a dimming type roll screen according to another aspect of the present invention is configured such that the weight bar 7 attached to the lower end of the screen 5, which is composed of a plurality of kinds of fabrics, is made movable in the vertical direction to enable dimming control based on the overlap degree between the plurality of kinds of fabrics, and includes the take-up pipe 4 and the operating device 10, in which the operating device 10 allows manual dimming and raising operation, and also has the function of automatically lowering the weight bar 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
