To provide a server device that allows a delivery agent to unlock a home delivery box even where a user is not aware of a service number.SOLUTION: A server device comprises request accepting means 72 that accepts an unlocking request including a box ID and service number for a home delivery box 10 from the home delivery box 10, authentication means 74 that executes user authentication based on information included in the unlocking request, notifying means 76 that gives a notice to the home delivery box 10 if the user authentication is failed, and unlocking instructing means 78 that sends an unlocking instruction to the home delivery box 10 if the user authentication is successful. When the notifying means 76 gives a notice, the request accepting means 72 accepts a re-unlocking request including identification information on the user from the home delivery box 10, and the authentication means 74 again executes user authentication based on information included in the re-unlocking request.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
