To provide joining metal which prevents propagation of vibration generated at one structure of an upper structure and a lower structure to the other structure in a building comprising the lower structure disposed relatively at a lower part and the upper structure disposed above the lower structure.SOLUTION: A joining metal 3 is interposed between a lower structure 1 and an upper structure 2 to join the lower structure 1 and the upper structure 2, and comprises: a first member 31 having a first plate part 311 fixed on a top face of the lower structure 1 and a second plate part 312 extended upward from the first plate part 311; a second member 32 having a third plate part 321 fixed on a bottom face of the upper structure 2 and a fourth plate part 322 extended downward from the third plate part 321 and at least a part of which is opposed with a predetermined interval with the second plate part 312; and a damper 33 which is fixed to the second plate part 312 at one end and fixed to the fourth plate part 322 at the other end, and absorbs vibration generated at the second member 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
