STRIKER MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE HOOD LOCK
To prevent damage to a surface of an inner hood when a mounting substrate is temporarily fixed to the inner food.SOLUTION: A striker mounting structure 10 for vehicle hood lock comprises: a hood 1 including an outer hood 13 composing an external surface side of a vehicle and an inner hood 14 composing an internal surface side of the vehicle; a mounting base plate 8 fixed to the inner hood 14 by means of a bolt 81; and a U-shaped striker 2 having two legs 21, 22 fixed to the mounting base plate 8; wherein, when the hood 1 is closed, the striker 2 engages with a lock mechanism 7 provided on a vehicle body 6, the hood 1 is thereby held while kept closed. In the striker mounting structure for vehicle hood lock, the inner hood 14 has a positioning hole 18 that positions the striker 2, and the second leg 22 of the striker 2 engages with the positioning hole 18 of the inner hood 14 while the mounting base plate 8 is kept temporarily fastened to the inner hood 14 by means of the bolt 81.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
