To suppress the fall of a tailgate even in its reversal operation caused by a pinch detection.SOLUTION: A controller, if a sensor unit detects an obstacle being pinched while a tailgate is in its opening operation, executes a first determination process (S30) to determine whether the position of the tailgate when the obstacle is detected to be pinched is above a specified holding position where an actuator can hold the tailgate; if the first determination process determines that the position of the tailgate when the obstacle is detected to be pinched is above the holding position, executes a second determination process (S40) to determine whether the position of the tailgate when the tailgate is reversed by a specified amount in the fully closed direction is below than the holding position; and if the second determination process determines that the position of the tailgate when the tailgate is reversed by less than the specified amount is below than the holding position, moves the tailgate to its fully closed position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
【課題】挟み込みを検出して反転動作を行ってもテールゲートの落下を抑えること。【解決手段】テールゲートが開動作を行っているときにセンサユニットが障害物の挟み込みを検出すると、コントローラは、障害物の挟み込みを検出したときのテールゲートの位置が、アクチュエータがテールゲートを保持できる所定の保持位置以上であるかどうかの第１判定処理（Ｓ３０）を行い、第１判定処理において、障害物の挟み込みを検出したときのテールゲートの位置が保持位置以上であると判定した場合、テールゲートを全閉方向へ所定の規定量反転動作させたときのテールゲートの位置が保持位置未満であるかどうかの第２判定処理（Ｓ４０）を行い、第２判定処理において、規定量の反転動作させたときのテールゲートの位置が保持位置未満であると判定した場合、テールゲートを全閉位置まで移動させる。【選択図】図９
