To improve the seismic performance of a plate-shaped building, the lower floors of which are used as a parking lot.SOLUTION: A plate-shaped building 100 of an apartment house 10 has upper floors 110 and lower floors 140 used as a parking lot under the upper floors 110, and includes a plurality of first columns 102 provided on both sides in the beam-to-beam direction and arranged side by side at intervals in the girder direction, a plurality of upper layer shear walls 116 provided on the structure surface between the first columns 102 in the beam-to-beam direction in each floor 112 of the upper floors 110 and arranged side by side at intervals in the girder direction, a plurality of second columns 104 provided at two locations between the first columns 102 in the beam-to-beam direction on the lower floors 140, and a plurality of lower layer shear walls 146 provided in each floor 142 of the lower floors 140 and provided on the structural surface between the first column 102 and the second column 104 in the beam-to-beam direction so that an opening 150 is provided between the second columns 104 in the beam-to-beam direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
