To provide a neutron shielding body which contains a boron-containing compound which absorbs neutrons and presents an excellent intensity.SOLUTION: The neutron shielding body contains at least one type of powders selected from the group of fly ash and blast furnace slag and at least one type of a boron-containing compound selected from the group of alkali metal salt of silicic acid, colemanite, and hylgadite. The content of the blast furnace slag to the total amount of the powders of the neutron shielding body is at least 30 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
