To provide a road paver and a method for enabling control of operation of a paving screed attached to the road paver.SOLUTION: A road paver 1 for producing a paving layer B comprises a chassis 2 and a height-adjustably mounted paving screed 3 for compacting a paving material E, where the paving screed 3 has an external control station 8 with a control device 9 comprising an operation panel for setting process parameters and a display for displaying process parameters. The road paver 1 further comprises a projector 7 which is configured to project the process parameters set on the operation panel and displayed on the display 12 onto a projection area so that the projected process parameter is visible in particular to an operator of the paving screed 3. The invention also refers to a method for projecting a process parameter by means of the projector 7 of the road paver 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
