To provide a wire rope anti-sway structure and an anti-sway method capable of suppressing the sway of two wire ropes for suspending a gondola fixed to an outer wall of a structure.SOLUTION: An anti-sway bracket 25 is installed on an outer wall 12 of a structure 11. The anti-sway bracket 25 regulates the sway of an outer wire rope 17a and an inner wire rope 17b that suspend a gondola 15 from a suspension device 16 provided in a structure 11. The anti-sway bracket 25 is located above the gondola 15, and its installation work is performed from the gondola 15 which is in the stopped state before descending.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
