To provide a sliding door device with a maintenance panel that does not attract as much as possible to make a door-end side vertical frame or middle frame different depending on whether the opening/closing direction of the sliding door is set to the left or right.SOLUTION: A sliding door system, which can freely open and close an entrance/exit opening and retract a sliding door 6 into a wall surface, is configured to include at least an entrance/exit opening frame, a rail member, the sliding door 6 that is slidably suspended from the rail member, a maintenance opening for adjusting the sliding door system and the like, and a maintenance panel 90 that closes the maintenance opening. The entrance/exit opening frame is formed by at least a vertical frame on the door end side, a middle frame on the maintenance panel side and concurrently on one side of the entrance/exit direction, and a middle frame on the other side; and the maintenance panel 90 of the sliding door system is configured to cover the front side of the maintenance panel-side aspect part of the vertical frame on the door end side and the maintenance panel-side aspect part of the middle frame on the maintenance panel side..SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
