To provide a mounting unit and a foreign matter intrusion suppression device capable of mounting a holding object more easily.SOLUTION: A mounting unit 20 includes: an abutting portion 33 which is an example of clamping means for clamping a mounting portion 81 fixed on an installation surface 90 at a position away from the installation surface 90; a screw threaded portion 35 and a clamp screw 21; a first holding portion 37 which is supported by the clamping means and holds an upper portion of a net 10; and a slide holding member 40 which is supported by the clamping means and holds a lower portion of the net 10 that is closer to the installation surface 90 than the upper portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
