CORROSION PREVENTION APPARATUS FOR STEEL MATERIALS AND CORROSION PREVENTION METHOD FOR STEEL PIPE PILES
To provide corrosion prevention means for steel pipe piles with reduced labor and cost and ease of maintenance.SOLUTION: A corrosion prevention apparatus 2, which covers a part of a steel pipe pile 1 driven into the sea bottom SB and whose top end is exposed above the sea surface, comprises a container part 21, a joint part 22, and an open/close part 23. The container part 21 has a first opening 212 that communicates with seawater at a position that is lower than L.W.L. by at least half the maximum wave height in the state of being attached to the steel pipe pile 1 by the joint part 22, and a second opening 213 that communicates with the atmosphere at a point higher than H. W. L., and covers at least the portion of the steel pipe pile 1 that is exposed to the splash zone. The open/close part 23 opens and closes the second opening 213.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
