To provide a fluoride ion conductor exhibiting ion conductivity higher than a conventional one at room temperature.SOLUTION: A fluoride ion conductor has a composition represented by AB1-xF4-3x (in the formula, A is an alkali metal of Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs or a combination thereof, B is a group 15 element of Sb, Bi or a combination thereof, and X is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.6) and has an ionic conductivity of 1×10-5S/cm or more at room temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
