To provide a small-sized and low-cost snowfall sensor and snow melting apparatus.SOLUTION: A snowfall sensor according to an embodiment of the present invention, which receives a power supply from a control device for driving a snow melting device, comprises: a photoelectronic sensor that includes a temperature sensor for detecting temperature, a floodlight unit for emitting a light, and a receiver unit for detecting the light, which is reflected by an object; and a sensor control unit that detects signals of the temperature sensor and the photoelectronic sensor, detects a state of snowfall based on the temperature detected by the temperature sensor and information on the number of snowflakes per hour obtained from the signal of the photoelectronic sensor, and transmits a driving signal for driving the snow melting device to the control device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
