To provide a ceramic-based composite material member which has corrosion resistance and heat resistance, a ceramic-based composite material member coated body, a method for manufacturing the ceramic-based composite material member, and a method for manufacturing the ceramic-based composite material member coated body.SOLUTION: A protective coating 1 is composed of a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) comprising an alumina fiber sheet 3 which is a ceramic fiber sheet formed in a woven fabric shape, and an alumina sol 4 which is a ceramic matrix containing alumina as a main material and having low viscosity and thixotropy. The protective coating covers an outer surface of a base material 2 made of SUS 430 to protect the base material 2 from molten aluminum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
