To improve heat-cycle resistance of a joint body of a ceramic member and a metal member by reducing residual tensile stress in the vertical direction on the joint boundary of a ceramic member and a metal member.SOLUTION: At least either of a load of compression stress or local heating is applied to the surface of a ceramic member 2 in the vicinity of the joint boundary 11 of the ceramic member 2 and the lower end of the side face of a metal member 3 in a joint body constituted of the metal member 3 jointed to the surface of the ceramic member 2, to reduce vertical residual tensile stress on the joint boundary 11 in the vicinity of the joint boundary 11 of the ceramic member 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
