To provide a window grate mounting structure that prevents sashes from deforming at high temperatures in the event of fire.SOLUTION: A window grate mounting structure for mounting a window grate 6 to a sash 2 includes an upper mounting structure 10 provided at the upper end of the window grate to attach the window grate to the sash upper frame 21 of the sash and a lower mounting structure 15 provided at the lower end of the window grate to rotatably support the window grate against the sash, the upper mounting structure has a first upper engaging member 40 that engages with a window grate upper engaging part 36 provided on a window grate upper frame 31 of the window grate, a second upper engaging member 50 that engages with a sash upper engaging part 26 provided on the sash upper frame, and a first resin member 60 forming a connection and fixing the first upper engaging member, the engaging part on the window grate, and the second upper engaging member. The window grate turns away from the sash by disengaging the second upper engaging member with the sash upper engaging part by melting the first resin member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21
