To provide a weed proof construction method capable of preventing germination and growth of plants by establishing a weed proof base layer by laminating and sprinkling weed proof substrates on a slope such as a slope face.SOLUTION: There is provided a weed proof construction method for preventing germination and growth of plants by establishing a weed proof base layer on a slope such as a slope face, the weed proof construction method is configured so that wood chips as a main material, and at least cement, a powder type clay mineral and water are mixed for preparing a weed proof substrate, then the weed proof substrates are laminated and sprinkled for establishing the weed proof base layer. In other embodiment, the wood chips as a main material, and the at least cement and the powder type clay mineral are mixed for preparing anhydrous state weed proof substrates, then, water is mixed with the anhydrous state weed proof substrates immediately before lamination and sprinkling of the anhydrous state weed proof substrates, for preparing the weed proof substrates, and then the weed proof substrates are laminated and sprinkled for establishing the weed proof base layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
