To easily and accurately detect whether or not there is a door pinch.SOLUTION: A door pinch detection device that detects a door pinch when driven in a closed direction by driving force of a motor includes: a position determination unit that determines whether the door has reached a predetermined position based on at least one of a speed of movement, a movement distance, and a movement time during the closing operation of the door; and a door pinch determination unit that determines whether or not the door pinch has occurred based on the current flowing through the motor during a period from the time when the door is determined to have reached the predetermined position to the time when the door reaches the fully closed position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
