To provide a coating material that achieves improved thixotropy and also achieves improvement in alkali resistance and hardness of a coating layer.SOLUTION: A coating material includes a thermosetting resin, an inorganic filler with an average particle size of 0.1 μm or more and 100 μm or less and a Mohs hardness of 3 or more and 10 or less, and a thixotropic agent. In the coating material 100 wt.%, the content of the inorganic filler is 25 wt.% or more and 80 wt.% or less.
