To provide a connecting metal fitting that facilitates installation work and is designed to improve versatility of joists.SOLUTION: In a connecting metal fitting 10 for connecting a sleeper 3 and a joist 2 which constitutes a structure 9 installed at a civil engineering work site or the like, a body 5 and a pin 7 for positioning the body 5 on the sleeper 3 are provided. The body 5 is U-shaped upwardly viewed in a direction of extension of the joist 2, and has a joist fitting surface 50a comprising a pair of opposing joist walls 51a,51a spaced apart corresponding to a width of the joist 2 and a joist support surface 52a for connecting the pair of joist walls 51a,51a to support the joist 2. The joist support surface 52a is provided with at least two metal fitting-side insertion holes 521 spaced apart in the direction of extension of the joist 2 and penetrating in the vertical direction. The pin 7 is positioned on the sleeper 3 by being inserted into the metal-fitting side insertion holes 521 and sleeper-side insertion holes 312 formed in the sleeper 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
