AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND PORTABLE TERMINAL
To provide an authentication system and a portable terminal capable of improving authentication accuracy of a user.SOLUTION: An authentication system includes a radio wave transmitter, a portable terminal held on the front side of a user's body, and an authentication device. The radio wave transmitter is arranged facing an authentication object across a predetermined space and has radio wave transmission means for transmitting a radio wave to the authentication object. The portable terminal has measurement means for measuring radio field intensity of the radio wave received from the radio wave transmitter, determination means for determining whether or not the user located in the predetermined space faces the authentication object on the basis of the radio field intensity, and transmission means for transmitting an authentication request signal including ID information of the user to the authentication device when determining the user faces the authentication object. The authentication device has a storage section for storing ID information of the user, and authentication means for performing authentication processing of the user by comparing the ID information included in the authentication request signal with the ID information stored in the storage section in advance when receiving the authentication request signal from the portable terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
