To provide a seismic isolator that air-cools a laminate.SOLUTION: A seismic isolator has a laminate having a laminated structure composed of at least rubber, and a first end plate and a second end plate fixed to both end faces of the laminate in the lamination direction. The first end plate has a first lateral vent hole extending from the outer peripheral face of the first end plate to the inside of the first end plate. The second end plate has a second lateral vent hole extending from the outer peripheral face of the second end plate to the inside of the second end plate. The laminate has a laminate vent hole to be in communication with the first lateral vent hole and the second lateral vent hole, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
