STEEL DAMPER
To provide a steel damper which can sufficiently attenuate earthquake energy at the occurrence of an earthquake, can easily confirm a degree of elastic deformation, and can properly determine whether or not the damper is in a state capable of exerting a vibration control function.SOLUTION: A steel damper 10A is formed of first and second connection panels 11, 12, and a damper panel 13a extending between the connection panels 11, 12. The damper panel 13a has a first front-recessed curved face part to a fourth front-recessed curved face part 23a to 23d which are recessed toward a rear face from a front face, and extending in a circular shape in a center region of the front face while drawing a circular arc with a prescribed curvature radius toward a center, and a first rear-recessed curved face part to a fourth rear-recessed curved face part 25a to 25d which are recessed toward the front face from the rear face, and extending in a circular shape in a center region of the rear face while drawing a circular arc with a prescribed curvature radius toward a center, and at the occurrence of an earthquake, the first front-recessed curved face part to the fourth front-recessed curved face part 23a to 23d and the first rear-recessed curved face part to the fourth rear-recessed curved face part 25a to 25d are elastically deformed, thus exerting a vibration control function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】地震発生時に地震エネルギーを十分に減衰させることができ、塑性変形の変形度合いを容易に確認することができ、制震機能を発揮し得る状態か否かを的確に判断することができる鋼材ダンパーを提供する。【解決手段】鋼材ダンパー10Aは、第1及び第2連結パネル11,12と、それら連結パネル11,12の間に延びるダンパーパネル13aとから形成されている。ダンパーパネル13aは、前面から後面に向かって凹むとともに中心に向かって所定の曲率半径で円弧を画きつつ前面の中央域において円状に延びる第1前凹曲面部~第4前凹曲面部23a~23dと、後面から前面に向かって凹むとともに中心に向かって所定の曲率半径で円弧を画きつつ後面の中央域において円状に延びる第1後凹曲面部~第4後凹曲面部25a~25dとを有し、地震発生時にそれら前凹曲面部23a~23dとそれら後凹曲面部25a~25dとが塑性変形することで制震機能を発揮する。【選択図】図1
