STEEL DAMPER
To provide a steel damper which can sufficiently attenuate vibration energy (earthquake energy) at the generation of vibration since a damper panel is surely plastically deformed at the generation of vibration caused by the earthquake or the like, and can minimize deformation and damage of a building due to vibration.SOLUTION: A damper panel 13a of a steel damper 10A has: a first recessed face area 24 which is formed at a front face 20 in an oval recessed face shape, and is recessed toward a rear face of the damper panel 13a from the front face 20; and a second recessed face area which is formed at a rear face in an oval recessed face shape, and is recessed toward the front face 20 of the damper panel 13a from the rear face. In the steel damper 10A, the first recessed face area 24 having the oval recessed face shape is formed in a substantially-entire area of the front face 20 of the damper panel 13a, and the second recessed face area having the oval recessed face shape is formed in a substantially-entire area of the rear face of the damper panel 13a. When an external force generated by vibration at the generation of the vibration is applied to the steel damper 10A, the steel damper exerts a vibration control function since at least either of the oval first recessed face area 24 and the oval second recessed face area is plastically deformed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】地震等による振動発生時にダンパーパネルが確実に塑性変形することで、振動発生時に振動エネルギー(地震エネルギー)を十分に減衰させることができ、振動による建造物の変形や損傷を最小限にすることができる鋼材ダンパーを提供する。【解決手段】鋼材ダンパー10Aのダンパーパネル13aは、前面20において楕円の凹面形状に成形されて前面20からダンパーパネル13aの後面に向かって凹む第1凹面エリア24と、後面において楕円の凹面形状に成形されて後面からダンパーパネル13aの前面20に向かって凹む第2凹面エリアとを有する。鋼材ダンパー10Aでは、楕円の凹面形状の第1凹面エリア24がダンパーパネル13aの前面20の略全域に形成され、楕円の凹面形状の第2凹面エリアがダンパーパネル13aの後面の略全域に形成され、振動発生時に振動による外力が鋼材ダンパー10Aに加わると、楕円の第1凹面エリア24と楕円の第2凹面エリアとのうちの少なくとも一方が塑性変形することで制震機能を発揮する。【選択図】図1
