To provide a panel transportation method capable of transporting panels stably, and a panel transportation system.SOLUTION: A panel transportation method comprises a panel attachment process of attaching a panel P to a panel transportation device 10 movable along a rail 91 fixed via a plurality of coupling members 93 and a movement process of moving the panel transportation device 10 along the rail 91. The panel transportation device 10 has a plurality of derailment prevention rollers 31 preventing the panel transportation device 10 from being derailed from the rail 91. In a movement process, a distance between at least one of the plurality of derailment prevention rollers 31 and at least one of the plurality of coupling members 93 is maintained to be equal to or less than 60 cm or the state where at least one of a plurality of restraint areas having a distance from each of the plurality of derailment prevention rollers 31 which is equal to or less than 60 cm overlaps with at least one of the plurality of coupling members 93 is maintained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
