To provide a manhole cover information management system and a manhole cover information management method by which a measurement result of a manhole cover can be more easily and appropriately managed.SOLUTION: A manhole cover information management system 1 includes: a road surface measurement unit 110 that outputs road surface measurement data by an optical cutting method including a height at each point of a road surface and laser beam reflection intensity; a vehicle measurement unit 120 that outputs vehicle measurement data including a geographic position and attitude of a vehicle; position specifying means that specifies a geographic three-dimensional position of each point; area extraction means that extracts a manhole cover area; information generation means that generates unevenness information within the manhole cover area; and memory control means that stores the unevenness information along with the measurement date and time and the geographic three-dimensional position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
