To suppress occurrence of the following situation: a vehicle door cannot be actuated if a communication terminal carried by a user is located in a region outside a service area of an in-vehicle system when a door switch for actuating the vehicle door is operated.SOLUTION: When a door switch 20 of a back door 11A as one example of a vehicle door is operated, an ECU 18 as one example of a vehicle control device determines multiple times whether an electronic key 16, as one example of a communication terminal which can communicate with the ECU 18, is located in a cabin-external region that is a predetermined region external to the cabin of a vehicle. When it is determined at least one time or more that the electronic key 16 is located in the cabin-external region as a result of the determination, the ECU 18 controls the back door 11A to be actuated in response to an operation of the door switch 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】車両用ドアを駆動させるためのドアスイッチが操作された際にユーザが保持する通信端末が車載システムと通信可能ではない領域に存在する場合であっても、車両用ドアが駆動しないという状態の発生を抑制する。【解決手段】車両制御装置の一例であるECU18が、車両用ドアの一例であるバックドア11Aのドアスイッチ20が操作された場合に、ECU18と通信可能な通信端末の一例である電子キー16が、車両の車室外の所定領域である車室外領域内に存在するか否かを複数回判定する。そして、ECU18が、判定結果に基づいて、電子キー16が車室外領域に存在すると少なくとも1回以上判定された場合、ドアスイッチ20の操作に応じてバックドア11Aを駆動させるように制御する。【選択図】図1
