To provide a spiral staircase capable of being installed or removed in a smaller space and in easier work and allowing an operator to use hands freely in moving up and down.SOLUTION: A spiral staircase 1 has: an upper fixing cradle 40 fixedly arranged at an upper part of a staircase installation range; a lower support cradle 50 capable of descending; and a central support pole 30 arranged vertically in the staircase installation range. A plurality of steps includes: an uppermost step capable of being installed at the upper part of the staircase installation range and joined to the upper fixing cradle 40; a lowermost step capable of being installed at a lower part of the staircase installation range and joined to the lower fixing cradle 50; and an intermediate step loaded on the lower support cradle and descending with the lower support cradle 50 in the process where the lower support cradle 50 descends from a start position to a lowermost position, and capable of being installed at a prescribed intermediate installation level between the upper part and the lower part of the staircase installation range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
