To provide a tightening member that can always tighten an object at a constant torque.SOLUTION: A tightening member 1 includes a torque limit mechanism that notifies a user of that tightening has been performed with a torque greater than or equal to a predetermined level by idle rotation of a first member 10 with respect to a second member 20, and a display 3 that displays an unusable state of the tightening member 1 when the torque limit mechanism has operated a specified number of times. The display 3 includes an opening 16 and a mark 29, in which the mark 29 becomes visible through the opening 16 to display the unusable state when the tightening member 1 has been used a specified number of times.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
