To provide a guard device for a construction machine allowing attachment work of a guard plate to be easily carried out.SOLUTION: A guard device 1 for a construction machine is provided with: guard plates 3 to cover windows of a cab 2 of the construction machine; a case 5 that is installed on a roof 4 of the cab and accommodates a guard plate in a horizontally placed state; rails that are provided on the case and withdrawably support the guard plate in a horizontal direction; and an engaging portion allowing the guard plate to be suspended and supported through engagement of the guard plate and the case when the guard plate is drawn out from the case.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
