To provide a dwelling having a more comfortable basement.SOLUTION: A dwelling 500 has a building 100 having a basement and a ground floor, a dry area 19 positioned on the basement, and a court 26 positioned on the first floor of the ground floor. Each of upper parts of the dry area 19 and the court 26 are continued open ceiling spaces with no ceiling to the uppermost floor in the ground floor, and the open ceiling spaces are continued with each other in the horizontal direction.
