To solve the problem of, even though a lightweight sandbag filled with a water absorbing resin is proposed to be used by soaked with water and swelled in a target place at the time of emergency because of problems in labor and storage, degradation of water absorption capability of water containing seawater and an inorganic salt, comparatively high cost, degradation of resin due to long-term storage, and treatment after use.SOLUTION: A by-product produced by coconut shell processing, a coco peat compressed material and a compressed material having a content of coco peat of 30-100% exhibit performance as sandbag fillers, excellently absorb water containing seawater and an inorganic salt, are inexpensive because of a by-product, enable long-term storage, and can be easily treated after use because they are natural products.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】労力や保管の問題により、吸水性樹脂を充填した軽量土嚢が、有事の際目的の場所で水に浸し、膨潤させて使用することが提案されているが、海水や無機塩を含む水では吸水能力が低下し、また比較的コストが高く、長期保存による樹脂の劣化や、使用後の処理の問題などがあった。【解決手段】ヤシ殻加工で出てくる副産物、ココピート圧縮物又はココピート含量が30~100%の圧縮物が、土嚢充填材として性能を発揮し、海水や無機塩を含む水の吸水も優れ、副産物であるため安価で、しかも長期保存ができ、使用後も天然物であるため簡単に処理ができる優れた土嚢充填材であることを見出した。【選択図】図1
