To provide an automatic door device, a method for controlling the automatic door device, and a program for controlling the automatic door device which are capable of reducing power consumption.SOLUTION: An automatic door device 5 includes an operation switch that outputs an opening/closing instruction of a door provided in an opening by a user's operation, a door control unit 10A that controls opening/closing of the door, and an object detection sensor 12 that detects a person or an object present within a predetermined range from any one of the opening and the operation switch. The door control unit 10A controls opening/closing of the door based on the opening/closing instruction from the operation switch when the object detection sensor 12 is in a detection state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
