To provide a temporary column fitting base for a main rope easy to handle by facilitating conveyance.SOLUTION: A temporary column fitting base 1 for a main rope comprises at least: a bottom plate 10; a pair of side plates 20A and 20B separately erected from each other on the side of a bottom plate upper face 10a of the bottom plate 10; a connection member 30 connecting the pair of side plates 20A and 20B; and hook parts 23A and 23B projecting from one end of the bottom plate 10 or from at least one end in the direction parallel to one bottom plate 10 of the pair of side plates 20A and 20B, to a bottom plate lower face 10b side of the bottom plate 10, and extending toward the other end of the bottom plate 10 or toward at least the other end of one of the pair of side plates 20A and 20B, and forming a space W between the bottom plate 10 or at least one of the pair of side plates 20A and 20B, at the bottom plate lower face 10b side.
