To improve operability at the time of detachment and stability at the time of mounting.SOLUTION: A cover member for an insulation joint of a rail is mounted in a position covering an insulation joint of a rail for a train to prevent slippage between rails across the insulation joint, and includes: a base material that has a top surface part composed of a thin plate-shaped member having electrical insulation and covering the upper side of a head part of the rail, an outer surface part covering the outer side out of sides of the head part, an inner surface part covering the inner side out of the sides of the head part; and a magnet provided on at least the outer surface part of the base material and capable of being absorbed to the rail.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
