To enable a gesture to be detected with a high degree of freedom.SOLUTION: A gesture detection device comprises: an acquisition unit which acquires a photographed image obtained by imaging a prescribed imaging region; a setting unit which sets a virtual boundary line in the photographed image; a recognition unit which recognizes a specific portion of a person existing in the photographed image; and a determination unit which determines a gesture of the person on the basis of a positional relation between the boundary line and the specific portion in the photographed image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
