To more easily adjust a shielding state while a shielding material is in an expanded state.SOLUTION: The shielding device comprises: a shielding material 11 provided in an ascendable/descendable manner; a long member 23 extending in one direction; and at least one or more arms 22 that hold the long member 23 and expand the shielding material, which extend in an intersection direction intersecting with a width direction of the shielding material 11, are supported on a fixing surface on one end and have a holding part formed on the other end for holding the long member so that an extending direction of the long member 23 faces the width direction. The long member 23 is formed such that when the shielding material 11 is in an expanded state, a bottom edge of the shielding material 11 can ascend/descend below an expanded position formed by the long member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
