To provide a torque limiter which can be configured with an enhanced aesthetic property.SOLUTION: In a torque limiter for an automatic opening/closing door which includes a first shaft, a second shaft arranged coaxially with the first shaft, and an elastic body urging the first shaft and the second shaft in the axial direction, and in which the first shaft and the second shaft undergo an associated rotation by a torque less than a specified torque on the first shaft side under the urged state by the elastic body, and a power transmission to the first shaft is interrupted by a torque equal to or more than the specified torque on the second shaft side, resulting in a sole rotation of the second shaft, a plurality of first shaft-side friction plates that rotate together with the first shaft and one or a plurality of second shaft-side friction plates that rotate together with the second shaft are provided, the plurality of first shaft-side friction plates are disposed above and below at least the one second shaft-side friction plate, and a friction sheet is provided between the plurality of first shaft-side friction plates and the at least the one second shaft-side friction plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
