To provide a handrail covering material for preventing nipping of the finger, and a handrail having therewith.SOLUTION: A handrail covering material 2 is fitted to a core material 3 spread on a wall surface via a bracket 4. The material is cylindrical, cut and separated along the length direction to be fitted to the core material 3. Both cylindrical cut and separated ends abut on or are adjacent to each other, and have a body part 21 covering the core material 3 and an end part 22 continued from the body part 21, have a cut-out formed along the length direction between the end part 22 and the body part 21. A connection part 23 connecting the end part 22 to the body part 21 is composed thinner than the thickness of the end part 22 and the body part 21 by the cut-out, and a handrail having therewith is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】 指などの挟まりを防止する手摺用被覆材及びこれを備える手摺を提供する。【解決手段】 壁面などにブラケット４等を介して敷設される芯材３に装着する手摺用被覆材２であって、前記芯材３に装着するため、長手方向に沿って切り離された筒状であり、切り離された筒状の両端が当接又は近接しており、前記芯材３を覆う本体部２１と、該本体部２１から続く端部２２とを備え、前記端部２２と前記本体部２１の間に、長手方向に沿って形成された切り欠きを有し、前記端部２２と前記本体部２１とをつなぐ接続部２３が、前記切り欠きによって前記端部２２及び前記本体部２１の厚みよりも薄く構成されていることを特徴とする、手摺用被覆材及びこれを備える手摺。【選択図】 図４
