To provide a novel laminate member not available heretofore.SOLUTION: The laminate member according to the present invention, comprises a first ceramic member, an intermediate layer, and a second ceramic member in this order, with the thickness of the laminate member being from 1 to 15 mm, the maximum length of the laminate member being from 10 to 45 cm, the shape of the laminate member in a plan view being a circle, an ellipse, a polygon, or a combination thereof, the first ceramic member comprising a first inner main surface disposed on the intermediate layer side, and a first outer main surface disposed in the direction opposite to the inner main surface, the second ceramic member comprising a second inner main surface disposed on the intermediate layer side, and a second outer main surface disposed in the direction opposite to the second inner main surface, and satisfying at least one of the following conditions: (a) the surface coarseness of the first outer main surface is different from that of the second outer main surface and, (b) at least one groove is formed at least on one of the first outer main surface, the first inner main surface, the second outer main surface and the second inner main surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
