To provide a cover member which securely prevents a small animal from entering or a child from playfully putting limbs through a clearance between a washing machine and a floor surface or a placement surface and can be additionally fitted after the washing machine is installed.SOLUTION: A cover member covering a clearance between a washing machine and a floor surface or a placement surface comprises: a cover member body 1a for covering the clearance between the washing machine and the floor surface or the placement surface; and a fitting part 3 that positions the cover member body 1a and can be fitted to an arbitrary fitting place. The fitting part 3 is constituted to be disposed on the floor surface or a member having the placement surface. 【課題】洗濯機と床面もしくは載置面との隙間から、小動物が侵入したり子供などがいたずら等で手足を差し入れることを確実に防止するカバー部材を提供する。また、洗濯機を施工後に、追加で取り付けすることを可能とするカバー部材を提供する。【解決手段】洗濯機と床面もしくは載置面との隙間を覆うカバー部材を、洗濯機と床面もしくは載置面との隙間を覆うカバー部材本体１ａと、前記カバー部材本体１ａを位置決めすると共に、任意の取り付け箇所に固定可能な取り付け部３と、から構成する。また、前記取り付け部３を、前記床面もしくは前記載置面を有する部材に備えて構成する。また、前記カバー部材本体を、前記取り付け部から分離可能に構成する。【選択図】図４
