METHOD FOR PRODUCING UNBURNED BRICKS FOR MOLTEN IRON VESSEL
To provide a method for producing an unburned brick for molten iron vessels, having excellent corrosion resistance and volume stability (residual expansion properties) even when used in operations under severe molten iron pre-treatment conditions.SOLUTION: A method for producing an unburned brick for molten iron vessels includes: adding an organic binder to a refractory raw material compound; kneading and molding the obtained raw material; and then heat-treating the molded raw material at 800°C or less. The refractory raw material compound comprises: 30-87 mass% of magnesia; 5-30 mass%, in total, of one or more selected from brazing stone, silica stone, and fused silica having a grain size of 1 mm or more and less than 5 mm; 5-18 mass% of graphite; and 0.1-5 mass%, in total, of aluminum and/or an aluminum alloy, wherein a content of one or more selected from brazing stone, silica stone, and fused silica having a grain size of less than 1 mm is 5 mass% or less (including 0) in total, and a content of silicon carbide is 20 mass% or less (including 0).SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】溶銑予備処理条件が過酷な操業で使用されても耐食性及び容積安定性(残存膨張性)に優れる溶銑容器用不焼成れんがの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】耐火原料配合物に有機バインダーを添加して混練し成形後、800℃以下で熱処理する溶銑容器用不焼成れんがの製造方法である。耐火原料配合物は、マグネシアを30~87質量%、粒度1mm以上5mm未満のろう石、珪石、及び溶融シリカのうち1種以上を合計で5~30質量%、黒鉛を5~18質量%、アルミニウム及び/又はアルミニウム合金を合計で0.1~5質量%含有すると共に、粒度1mm未満のろう石、珪石、及び溶融シリカのうち1種以上の含有率が合計で5質量%以下(0を含む)、炭化珪素の含有率が20質量%以下(0を含む)である。【選択図】なし
