To provide a work space under staircase added with a function for temporarily enclosing a space under staircase in an opening shape continuous with an adjacent habitable room space or a passage space integrally and changing the same into a form facilitating concentration on work.SOLUTION: A space under staircase formed between a back of the staircase 34 of an upper staircase 33 and a floor surface 11 is installed so as to open a front surface of the upper floor side in an ascending/descending direction in a plan view and a greater half of at least one lateral surface toward other habitable room space or passage space, at least an upper half in a height direction of the front surface of the space under staircase is shielded by a storable partition panel 51, a lower part 53 of the partition panel 51 is folded to the side of the space under staircase, and thus a work space under staircase 50 having a desk surface on which a user can work in a position seated in the space under staircase is created.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】隣接する居室空間や通路空間と一体的に連続する開放的な形態の階段下空間を一時的に囲い込んで作業に集中しやすい形態に変化させる機能を付加した階段下ワークスペースを提供する。【解決手段】上部階段３３の段裏３４と床面１１との間に形成される階段下空間が、平面視において昇降方向における上階側の正面と、少なくとも一方の側面の過半部分とを、他の居室空間または通路空間に向けて開放するように設置されており、その階段下空間の正面の、高さ方向における少なくとも上半部が収納可能な間仕切りパネル５１によって遮蔽され、その間仕切りパネル５１の下部５３が階段下空間側に折曲されることにより、階段下空間内に着座した姿勢で作業できる机面を備えた階段下ワークスペース５０が創出される。【選択図】図５
