To provide a manufacturing method of a slurry, capable of manufacturing a slurry which is homogeneous and properly thickened and can be efficiently transferred while causing less residue in pipings, etc., on transfer.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is a manufacturing method of a slurry, for manufacturing a slurry by blending water, an inorganic powder, and an amine oxide-type surfactant ((A) component hereafter), wherein the manufacturing method of a slurry includes: performing blending of water and the inorganic powder by using a kneader including a rotation shaft, an agitation member provided in the rotation shaft, and a kneading tank under a condition that a peripheral speed of the maximum diameter part of the agitation member is 20 m/min or over and a Froude number of 0.40 or over in the kneading tank for 4 s or over to obtain a blended product; and performing addition of the (A) component to the blended product and blending by using a kneader including a rotation shaft and an agitation member provided in the rotation shaft under a condition that a peripheral speed of the maximum diameter part of the agitation member is 20 m/min or over and a Froude number is 0.4 or over for 8 s or over in the kneading tank.SELECTED DRAWING: None
