To provide an embankment reinforcement structure using a wall that is inserted into the embankment body capable of effectively maintaining the ground resistance of the wall against washing away of the embankment ground during overflow.SOLUTION: A provided embankment reinforcement structure includes: a first wall to be installed on the opposite side of the embankment body from the water area; and a second wall that is inserted at the water area side portion of the embankment. In at least some sections along the length of the embankment, a region having water permeability is formed in the first wall at a position lower than the height of the top of the second wall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
