To provide an operation device of an excavator, and an excavator which control the rotary drive of a rotary drive device, and can reduce operation loads on an operation lever.SOLUTION: An operation device for imparting a lever operation signal to a rotary drive control valve 37 of a rotary drive device on the basis of tilting of an operation lever 33 includes a controller 35, an operation detection part 36 for detecting the tilting of the operation lever, and a rotation holding switch 34 arranged in an operator cab independently from the operation lever, wherein the controller interrupts a lever operation signal and imparts an alternative operation signal corresponding to the lever operation signal to the rotary drive control valve when detection signals are simultaneously input from the operation detection part and the rotation holding switch, interrupts the alternative operation signal on the basis of the tilting through a neutral position of the operation lever in a state where the alternative operation signal is imparted, and recovers only the lever operation signal from the interruption state on the basis of the tilting through the neutral position of the operation lever in a state where the lever operation signal and the alternative operation signal are interrupted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】回転駆動装置の回転駆動を制御して、操作レバーの操作負担軽減を図ることが可能な掘削機械の操作装置及び掘削機械を提供する。【解決手段】操作レバー33の傾動に基づいてレバー操作信号を回転駆動装置の回転駆動制御弁37に付与する操作装置において、コントローラ35と、操作レバーの傾動を検出する操作検出部36と、操作レバーとは独立して運転室に配置された回転保持スイッチ34とを備え、コントローラは、操作検出部及び回転保持スイッチからの検出信号が同時に入力されたときに、レバー操作信号を遮断するとともに、回転駆動制御弁に対してレバー操作信号に相応する代替操作信号を付与し、代替操作信号の付与状態で、操作レバーの中立位置を経由した傾動に基づき、代替操作信号を遮断し、レバー操作信号及び代替操作信号の遮断状態で、操作レバーの中立位置を経由した傾動に基づき、レバー操作信号のみを遮断状態から復帰させる。【選択図】図4
