To provide a wire which is lightweight and easy to handle, has little deflection when a load is applied, and has high visibility, and therefore is suitably used particularly for a movable guard fence.SOLUTION: A wire for a guard fence is provided, comprising a core wire made of a fiber-reinforced plastic material obtained by impregnating a bundle of reinforcing fibers with a plastic, a colored layer covering the whole length of the core wire, and a retroreflective layer covering at least a part of the colored layer, and has an elongation percentage of 0.8% or less when a 20kN load is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】軽量で取り扱いやすく、荷重をかけた際にたわみが少なく、かつ高い視認性を有しているため、特に可動式防護柵用として好適に用いられるワイヤーを提供する。【解決手段】強化繊維の束に樹脂が含侵してなる繊維強化樹脂材料製の芯線と、前記芯線の全長を被覆する着色層と、前記着色層を少なくとも一部被覆する再帰反射層とを有し、２０ｋＮ荷重をかけた際の伸び率が０．８％以下である、防護柵用ワイヤーが提供される。【選択図】なし
