A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
RENEWABLE ARCHITECTURE CONSTRUCTED WITH MONOCOQUE FRP CONCRETE COMPOSITE SLAB
To provide a renewable architecture construction method in terms of a shorter construction period and a lower cost by improving the quality of modern architecture such as structural strength, earthquake resistance, durability, fire resistance.SOLUTION: Lightweight and strong monocoque FRP concrete composite slabs are fabricated in a factory by integrating an FRP form and hard-mixed concrete with low water content. The FRP form that constitutes the composite slab has perforated FRP dowel and truss frames, which are integrated with a concrete section to form a monocoque structure of an FRP portion covering the slab, resulting in an extremely strong composite slab. This monocoque FRP concrete composite slab is then joined to a main structural member as a foundation slab, a wall slab and a roof slab by bolting or other easy and dismantleable methods to construct a renewable architecture that can be moved or converted to another use.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
