To provide a fixing structure and a fixing method that can firmly fix a scaffold against a wall surface of a building.SOLUTION: A fixing structure for fixing a scaffold assembled along a wall surface of a building to the building comprises a horizontal wire engaged with the scaffold so as to be pressed against the building and extending horizontally, a fixing member for fixing an end of the horizontal wire, a tensile material for pulling the horizontal wire and a compression material provided between the scaffold and the wall surface of the building and receiving a compressive force from the horizontal wire through the scaffold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
